Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

1. The start of the registration process is communicated to parents by letter. The Registration Application can be picked up from the Registrar's Office, mailed to you, or downloaded electronically. Only candidates who submit an application are eligible to participate in the Placement Tests. For the next school year, the maximum number of IB DP students admitted is 45, and this number is communicated to candidates at the start of the process.

2. Placement tests are conducted at the school premises and are addressed to students of our school and other schools who are interested in joining the IB DP. In placement tests, students will be assessed in three main subjects: Modern Greek Language and Literature, English (for students who have not obtained Proficiency), and Math. Students who wish to choose Physics and/or Chemistry as IB DP subjects have to inform us in advance, so that they are assessed in those subjects too. Placement tests will last from 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the subject, and will be administered in Greek and English. Placement tests constitute an important source of information that will guide students in choosing their IB DP subjects.

3. Registration forms / Registration application: The start of the registration process is communicated by letter. The Registration Application can be picked up from the Registrar's Office, mailed to you, or downloaded electronically from the Geitonas School website. Only those candidates who submit an application will be accepted for participation in the Placement Tests. The number of candidates accepted per year is determined by the school and communicated to candidates at the beginning of the process.

4. Scholarships: Two scholarships will be granted to students who will attend the IBDP1 for the next academic year, following a written competition. The students with the highest two marks will receive a 3,000€ fee reduction.
