Scholarships 2025-2026. The school offers 18 scholarships this year: 16 academic scholarships and 2 athletic scholarships (basketball).
Academic scholarships are distributed as follows: up to 1 full and 4 partial for A' Gymnasium (MYP); up to 1 full and 2 partial for A' Lyceum (MYP); up to 5 full for B' Lyceum with up to 2 full for humanities orientation, up to 2 full for economics and information technology orientation, and up to 1 full for sciences orientation; up to 1 full and 2 partial for IB Diploma 1.
Athletic scholarships: up to 2 full scholarships for A' Lyceum.
Examinations and eligibility: Candidates are tested in the following subjects: for A' Gymnasium – Mathematics and Language for the Greek programme and English for the bilingual/dual-language track; for A' Lyceum – Mathematics and Language for the Greek programme and English for the bilingual track; for B' Lyceum – Language and per orientation (Ancient/Humanities; Mathematics for Economics and IT; Mathematics and Physics for Sciences); for the IB Diploma – English Language and Literature, Mathematics, and Humanities & Sciences. Highest-scoring candidates (above 18.5 for a full scholarship and above 17 for a partial) are invited to a personal interview. For bilingual programmes, ranking is based on Greek Language and Mathematics, with English performance considered to assess readiness for bilingual study. On examination day, candidates must bring government-issued ID (ID card, passport, or equivalent).
Oral examinations: For oral exams, an electronic certificate from recognized public authorities must be sent to lykeio@platon.gr by 23 March 2025 at 14:30. The scholarships are maintained as follows: through the entire Gymnasium for A' Gymnasium, through the Lyceum for A' and B' Lyceum, and for two years of the IB Diploma, with conditions on grades, conduct, and timely payments. Applicants must fill the Participation Form by 23 March 2025 at 14:30 and pay 30 € to the account below; the proof of payment must be uploaded to the form. Platon School is a private IB World School in Greece serving ages 3 to 18. It offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), alongside a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach in the early years. The school is fully authorized by the IB for PYP, MYP and the Diploma, a distinction it has held since its early years.
