Part of APDE (Asociación para el Desarrollo Educativo), founded in 1970 by parents who wanted schools offering academic excellence alongside the values being taught at home. APDE has grown to eight schools sharing the same educational project. Solalto became an authorized IB World School in 2006.

Centro Escolar Solalto (APDE Solalto) is a private, all-boys day school in Fraijanes, Guatemala, part of the APDE network of eight schools.
