Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Delia Memorial School (Glee Path) was founded in 1972 as part of the Delia Group of Schools. It began as a girls’ school serving mainly Chinese-speaking students, but has since developed into an English-medium, co-educational secondary school. Over the years, the school has welcomed a more diverse student body, reflecting Hong Kong’s changing demographics. Today, it continues under the Delia Group’s ownership, with a focus on offering both the local and international curriculum options.

Community

The school community is built around a diverse student population and a strong emphasis on participation. Events include the annual Multicultural Day, which showcases traditional clothing, performances, and food from students’ cultural backgrounds. Other highlights include House Elections, student leadership activities, Model United Nations conferences, and sports tournaments. Together, these activities provide students with opportunities to share cultures, celebrate achievements, and engage with peers beyond the classroom.

Parent-Teacher Association

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at Delia Memorial School (Glee Path) serves as a platform for communication and cooperation between families and the school. It organizes elections for its committee and provides information sessions for parents on school activities. The PTA also supports cultural and academic events, acting as a bridge between home and school life. Annual notices and updates are shared with the parent community to encourage involvement. In recent years, the PTA has been involved in initiatives such as the election of parent representatives and the coordination of parent-focused activities. Through these, the PTA plays a role in strengthening school–family partnerships.
