GCA Hong Kong uses the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) program as its core curriculum, delivered in English and Chinese. The program covers Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Civics, Economics, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus, with electives such as Speech, Music, Health, Computer Science, and Personal Finance. Mandarin is taught in Mandarin with simplified characters, and students study poems and articles to develop fluency and articulation in Chinese. The school participates in ACE national and international conventions, with students earning medals in art, athletics, music, and platform.
Creative Programs include Art and Photography, Chinese Calligraphy, Choir, and Speech and Drama. Art and Photography are taught to inspire students to appreciate the beauty in God's creation and to express themselves creatively. Choir develops vocal technique, while Speech and Drama build self-confidence and public-speaking skills.
Mandarin is taught in Mandarin with simplified characters. Chinese Calligraphy emphasizes patience and perseverance and helps students connect with Chinese heritage. The curriculum also reinforces a sense of belonging to the motherland through character-building passages.
Experiential Learning Programs include Field Trip and Outdoor Education, which extend learning beyond the classroom and foster teamwork and real-world application. Community Service opportunities give students a chance to serve the elderly and other members of the community. School events such as concerts and art exhibitions provide social engagement opportunities for students and families. Volunteers can participate in activities such as leading outdoor education, teaching an interest class, or supporting events.
Community Service is integrated into the curriculum, with students serving in nursing homes and engaging in public service activities. Physical Education centers on Christian character traits such as perseverance, obedience, and self-discipline and is tailored to individual students. The program includes athletics, ball sports, and worship dance to promote health, teamwork, and leadership. These elements aim to foster physical and mental well-being as part of the school's holistic approach to student development.
Grace Christian Academy Hong Kong (GCA) is a private, not-for-profit, Christian school located at 1/F, 108 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong. The Academy started in January 2011 as a Primary school named Almitas Academy and grew to include Secondary education, with Secondary 4-6 licences granted by the Education Bureau in December 2020. The campus sits in North Point on Hong Kong Island, a short walk from the North Point MTR Station and well served by island bus routes along Java Road and King's Road. The core curriculum is the Accelerated Christian Education Program (ACE), delivered in English and Chinese; Chinese is taught in Mandarin using simplified characters. The school emphasizes character development as an integral part of learning, with whole-brain integration and electives such as Speech, Music, Health, and Computer Science.
