The school uses English as the medium of instruction and practices Small Class Teaching with 26–28 students per class. It offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme as well as a New Senior Secondary pathway leading to the HKDSE. The curriculum is complemented by Gifted Education and enrichment programs, and GT students have achieved at the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition with Gold Medals in 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2025.
The Department of Arts and Sports provides Visual Arts, Music, and Physical Education. The department runs activities including the Annual Concert and Sports Day. GT Campus includes laboratories and dedicated rooms for the arts and languages, supporting creative work across disciplines.
The Department of Languages offers English, Chinese, Chinese Literature, and Putonghua. The school also runs a Third Languages Group with courses in Korean, Japanese, Spanish, French, and German.
Clubs and Interest Groups provide non-academic activities, allowing students to explore interests beyond the core curriculum. Meetings and programs are scheduled on Monday afternoons, with guidance from teachers and senior fellows. Students may engage in a wide range of activities through the Clubs & Interest Groups program.
Life Education (MEG) covers Moral Education, Leadership, Voluntary Services, Student Conduct and Caring for Students' Needs, with assemblies, talks, mentorship, and diverse programs for student growth. The program includes Adolescent Growth activities for younger students and a Mentorship Programme, Prefect Team, and external leadership training. Community service and advocacy activities are organized for G7–G11 students through MEG and related groups.
The Youth Development Program supports teenager growth through four tracks: Adolescent Growth (G7), Mentorship Programme, Leadership Programme (G8), and Community Services (G7–G11). Additional leadership opportunities include the Prefect Team, Leadership Camps, and external leadership training.

G.T. (Ellen Yeung) College, founded in 1996 by the Gifted Education Council, is a co-educational through-train school offering both primary and secondary education, now operating under the Direct Subsidy Scheme. Its secondary campus sits in Tiu Keng Leng, Tseung Kwan O, in the eastern New Territories, somewhat removed from central Hong Kong but accessible by public transport. The school offers a dual pathway: the local New Senior Secondary (NSS) curriculum leading to the HKDSE examination, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme in the final years. Class sizes are modest and emphasis is placed on gifted education, small class instruction, and academic enrichment. A signature offering is its G.T. International Science Project Competition, which connects students across the Greater Bay Area and beyond. Students may also engage in a “Third Languages Group,” and arts, drama, leadership, and service programmes round out opportunities.
