Facilities Overview

The Lower Primary campus serves Year 1 to Year 3 as part of Kingston International School's IB-PYP bilingual programme for children aged 1 to 11. The school provides instruction in English and Putonghua with a dedicated English and a Putonghua class teacher in each class. Kingston maintains small class sizes to support individualized attention and a strong sense of community across its campuses. Library resources, arts, athletics, and ICT are integrated into the programme to support a holistic learning experience.

Sports Facilities

Kingston Primary School provides athletics and sports programs; students participate in PE classes twice per 6-day cycle, and a range of activities includes racket sports, team tag, flag sports, and field athletics. Sports Day is held annually, and Kingston runs a floor hockey program that starts in Lower Primary with opportunities for House League and competitive teams in upper Primary. The Hong Kong Primary School Floor Hockey League was founded in 2023 with Kingston participation.

Academic Facilities

Lower Primary follows the IB-PYP curriculum delivered in English and Putonghua, with a high teacher-to-student ratio and dedicated language teachers per class. Kingston has three campuses, including a Lower Primary campus for Year 1 to Year 3, all operating under the IB-PYP bilingual framework.

Kingston International School’s Lower Primary campus, at 113 Waterloo Road in Kowloon Tong, serves children aged 5 to 8 (Years 1 to 3) within the school’s IB Primary Years Programme. Each class is co-taught by an English teacher and a Putonghua teacher, supporting bilingual learning in both languages. Students participate in a variety of enrichment activities, including the Choir, Orchestra, and Newspaper Club, as well as community-based initiatives like the Kingston Environmental Group and Student Representative Council. Located in a central but peaceful neighbourhood of Hong Kong, the Lower Primary campus is part of a three-campus network that continues the school’s bilingual early years education into the primary grades.
