The school is a 100% residential community. About 250+ students live in four residential blocks on campus. Each room is shared by four students. Blocks are three floors: ground floor has block common facilities, the second floor is the Girls' floor, and the third floor is the Boys' floor. Shared facilities include gender-specific showers on each floor, a day room with a pantry, and a laundry room. Full-time teaching staff live on campus as tutors, and there are peer supporters to provide confidential peer support.
The canteen serves a wide range of Western and Asian food choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a dayroom with a fully equipped pantry on the ground floor of each block for socializing and block meetings.
There are four residential blocks housing 250+ students. The school is governed by a Board of Directors. The Patron is The Honourable John KC Lee, Chief Executive of Hong Kong. The Chairman is Anthony Tong Kai Hong. The Board includes members who sit on sub-committees such as Staffing and Finance, and United World Colleges Hong Kong Committee Limited. LPCUWC is part of the United World Colleges network.
Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong is a two-year IB Diploma residential college opened in 1992. The Wu Kai Sha campus sits next to Ma On Shan Country Park, beside Starfish Bay and Tolo Harbour, and is a short walk from Wu Kai Sha MTR. Classes are small (12–18 students), and the school community numbers about +250 students. Instruction is in English, with languages offered including Chinese, English, Spanish and French. Learning extends beyond classrooms through Quan Cai (CAS) with China Week, Project Week and weekly activities; recent initiatives include WWF Hong Kong collaborations such as coral monitoring. Students pursue the IB DP exclusively, with results and updates reported by the school. The college is co-educational and 100% residential.
