St. Paul’s Co-educational College was founded in 1915 by the Anglican Church (Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui) as a private school for girls. It became co-educational in 1945, one of the first schools in Hong Kong to do so. The College joined the Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) in 2001, giving it greater autonomy over curriculum and administration while remaining a non-profit institution under the sponsorship of the Anglican Church. The affiliated St. Paul’s Co-educational College Primary School opened in 2002 to provide a continuous through-train education pathway.
SPCC maintains a vibrant community life that integrates academics, service, and cultural enrichment. Major annual events include the Speech Day, Music Festival performances, and Founder’s Day celebrations. The school encourages participation in service trips, student exchanges, and alumni mentorship programmes, which strengthen its ties among students, parents, staff, and graduates.
The SPCC Parent Teacher Association (founded in 1995) promotes communication and collaboration between parents and the school. The PTA organises activities such as the Annual General Meeting and Dinner Gathering, Parent Seminars, and Family Service Projects. It also supports student initiatives and publishes newsletters that share updates from school life. The PTA provides a platform for parental involvement in school events and coordinates volunteer efforts during major occasions such as student orientations and fundraising activities.
