Registration / enrollment fees (new students only)

- A one‑time registration/enrollment fee is charged for new students; the school's published amounts for registration/enrollment vary by year and are shown in the school fee schedule. Returning students pay a seat‑reservation deposit which is deductible from tuition.

Building / capital fee (recurring annual charge)

Per‑term or installment amounts and options

- Tuition is invoiced on an annual basis in USD; at the time of enrollment families must select a payment plan option. The school offers a standard single payment or installment plans (two or three installments). For installment plans a processing fee (5%) is applied to the 2nd and 3rd installments under the published Plan B / Plan C arrangements; Plan C is not available for company payments. For students admitted after July 1, tuition and the building fee are payable in one single payment.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Invoices are issued in USD and are payable net of any bank fees. Payments cannot be made in cash or by bank/credit card; bank transfer is the accepted method. Families, sponsors or companies are responsible for payment within the invoice terms (standard term: payment due within 30 days of invoice). Overdue balances are charged interest at 12% per annum (calculated daily) and unpaid accounts may lead to suspension of the student if not cleared within 60 days. An invoice for tuition and building fee is issued on the child's first day of attendance for students joining during the school year.

Boarding / accommodation fees

- AISB operates as a day school; boarding is not offered and there are no boarding fees.

Other costs or additional fees

- The school's published fee structure identifies additional chargeable items separate from base tuition and the building fee. These commonly include a seat‑reservation deposit for returning students (deductible from tuition) and may include fees for optional services (transportation, school meals, extracurricular activities, field trips, specialized workshops, language support or on‑campus services). Amounts for these additional services are charged separately and vary by service. The building fee and other recurring charges are billed annually.

Refunds and withdrawal billing

- Written notification to Admissions is required when withdrawing a student. The date stated in the written withdrawal notice is the date from which any tuition refund (if applicable) will be calculated. Tuition and building fees are payable for the full school year unless otherwise specified in the school's invoice and payment terms; partial‑year invoicing applies for students who join during the school year. Overdue accounts follow the school's published collection and interest procedures.

Accepted payment methods and practical notes

- All invoices are issued in USD and must be paid net of bank charges. Cash and bank/credit card payments are not accepted; payments should be made by bank transfer as instructed on the invoice. Companies paying on behalf of families should ensure the invoice is forwarded to the appropriate department; the family remains responsible for timely payment. Installment plan availability and any processing fees are applied according to the selected plan and payer type (private family vs company).

American International School of Budapest (AISB) offers an American Curriculum with IB Diploma and pathway for students aged 3–18. English is the language of instruction, with World Languages part of the curriculum. The high school program follows an American model in an international context, offering a range of courses . Students graduate with the AISB High School Diploma, the IB Diploma, or a combination such as AISB Diploma + IB Diploma or AISB Diploma + Innovation Diploma. Established in 1973 by the U.S. Embassy, AISB serves a globally diverse student body and provides the Global Impact Diploma and a Dual Diploma (GID + IB). The 16-hectare campus houses Middle/High and Elementary buildings, libraries, theatres, a design technology suite, and arts facilities, plus two gyms, a 25m pool, a theatre, and playing fields. Co-curriculars include MUN, debate, robotics, and Celebrations of the Arts.
