Instruction is primarily in English. Hungarian language studies are available; AISB has offered a Hungarian language class as a scheduled block and independent study options for the mother tongue. World Languages include French, German, and Spanish; Language B SL/HL is available in the IB Diploma program. EAL support is available for students whose first language is not English.

American International School of Budapest (AISB) offers an American Curriculum with IB Diploma and pathway for students aged 3–18. English is the language of instruction, with World Languages part of the curriculum. The high school program follows an American model in an international context, offering a range of courses . Students graduate with the AISB High School Diploma, the IB Diploma, or a combination such as AISB Diploma + IB Diploma or AISB Diploma + Innovation Diploma. Established in 1973 by the U.S. Embassy, AISB serves a globally diverse student body and provides the Global Impact Diploma and a Dual Diploma (GID + IB). The 16-hectare campus houses Middle/High and Elementary buildings, libraries, theatres, a design technology suite, and arts facilities, plus two gyms, a 25m pool, a theatre, and playing fields. Co-curriculars include MUN, debate, robotics, and Celebrations of the Arts.
