Budapest British International Academy immerses students in English from day one in a nurturing, structured environment that values home languages and cultural backgrounds. Targeted EAL support is provided through timetabled lessons alongside mainstream classes. EAL specialists tailor support to each learner's level, ensuring appropriate challenge. As English improves, EAL support is gradually reduced to promote independence in the classroom.
Budapest British International Academy (BBIA) is an international school serving ages 4 to 18 with a British curriculum framework. The school offers Early Years Foundation Stage, Edexcel IGCSE and International A Levels, with a Sixth Form for years 12–13. The programme is designed for global mobility, with English taught at IGCSE and A Level and an English as an Additional Language (EAL) support. Since opening in 2008, BBIA has expanded from Kids Kiosk and First Steps to a unified primary and secondary campus in 2024, located in Budapest's 2nd district and now at a purpose-built campus on Árpád Fejedelem útja 79. The campus houses large, bright classrooms with smart boards, dedicated spaces for Art, Music, and Science, a dining area, an outdoor sport pitch, a younger-student playground, and swimming lessons. The school emphasizes real-world learning through trips, clubs, MUN, World Scholar's Cup, and residential travel, fostering citizenship and university pathways.
