Application and entry charges
- Application Fee (new students): €450.
- Registration Fee (new students): €1,200.
- Deposit (new students): €1,000.
- Seat reservation deposit (deducted from school contributions): €1,700 (applies to new and returning students).

- Early Childhood (FS1–FS2; ages 3–4): €12,090 per year.
- Early Childhood (FS3; age 5): €14,980 per year.
- Primary Year 1 (age 6): €17,660 per year.
- Primary Years 2–5 (ages 7–10): €19,850 per year.
- MYP Years 1–3 (ages 11–13): €21,990 per year.
- MYP Years 4–5 (ages 14–15): €23,270 per year.
- DP Years 1–2 (ages 16–17): €25,250 per year.
Per-term tuition (standard three-term year)
- The school operates on a three-term academic calendar. The per-term amounts below are the annual contribution divided into three equal term payments:
- Early Childhood (3–4): €4,030.00 per term (€12,090 ÷ 3).
- Early Childhood (5): €4,993.33 per term (€14,980 ÷ 3).
- Primary Year 1: €5,886.67 per term (€17,660 ÷ 3).
- Primary Years 2–5: €6,616.67 per term (€19,850 ÷ 3).
- MYP 1–3: €7,330.00 per term (€21,990 ÷ 3).
- MYP 4–5: €7,756.67 per term (€23,270 ÷ 3).
- DP 1–2: €8,416.67 per term (€25,250 ÷ 3).
Billing schedule and payment terms
- The school year is organised into three terms; invoicing and term dates follow the three-term calendar. Families receive invoices and payment is managed through the school finance process.
- The seat reservation deposit is applied against the school contribution and is deducted from the invoiced contribution.
- Acceptance, invoicing and the formal Education Agreement (Terms and Conditions) are issued alongside the offer and set the contractual payment terms.
Boarding
- BBIS in Budapest does not publish a boarding provision for students; there are no boarding fees listed for the Budapest campus. (Day-school provision and transport options are described separately.)
Other costs and additional fees
- English as an Additional Language (EAL): EAL support is charged as an additional fee where required.
- Special Educational Needs / one-to-one support: Additional charges may be levied if the school determines interventions are required beyond the standard contribution; such charges are itemised separately.
- After-school clubs, Stay & Play and extra‑curricular activities: charges apply for club participation and Stay & Play sessions.
- School bus (door-to-door): bus service is available through contracted providers; bus charges are separate from tuition.
- School lunches and snacks: primary students are provided with lunch; EYFS and Years 1–2 are provided with morning and afternoon snacks. Any specific meal-plan costs or third‑party catering charges are managed separately.
- Uniform: school uniform is required and is purchased separately via the designated uniform supplier. Costs for uniform items are payable by families at the point of order.
- Examination or external assessment fees (for DP/IB, external assessments, standardised tests) and dedicated course costs may be charged in addition to the contribution where applicable; these fees are billed separately.
Refunds, withdrawal and cancellations
- Refunds, withdrawal procedures and any prorating of contributions are governed by the Education Agreement (Terms and Conditions) provided with an offer and by the school's invoicing policy. Families receive the contractual refund and withdrawal terms in the Education Agreement accompanying the offer. For specific refund terms and timelines contact the Finance Office.

Budapest British International School (BBIS) is an independent day school offering an IB World Continuum and the British Curriculum for students aged 3 to 18. In the Primary School, BBIS delivers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) with a Programme of Inquiry that links units across ages and emphasizes inquiry-driven, student-centred learning within six transdisciplinary themes. In the Secondary School, the curriculum continues with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the IB Diploma (DP).
