French international school. It is part of the AEFE network and provides education from Kindergarten through Lyce9e.
Dispositif FLSco (French Language of Schooling) supports non-French-speaking students. Allophones receive support from arrival. In Petite and Moyenne Section, they are immersed in the language with their class; FLSco is open from Grande Section to 5 for non-francophone students.

Arrival is from 7:50 to 8:00; classes begin at 8:00.
The transport service is outsourced to the Lyce9e franaire de Budapest's partner, Laster. Two services are offered: Door-to-door minibus service and Shuttle with multiple lines in Buda and Pest. Elémentaire (CP, CE1, CE2, CM1, CM2)

- HUF equivalents follow the collège scale: annual HUF 2,619,000; trimestrial total HUF 2,700,000 (1st term HUF 1,080,000; 2nd and 3rd term HUF 810,000 each); monthly HUF 270,000.
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Choice of billing modality is selected on the enrolment commitment: annual, trimestrial or monthly.
- Annual payment: single invoice, settlement required before 15 September to obtain a 3% discount. This annual option is not available for scholarship recipients or beneficiaries of the school's solidarity fund.
- Trimestrial schedule: 1st trimester (September–December) = 40% (invoiced in September); 2nd trimester (January–March) = 30% (invoiced in January); 3rd trimester (April–June) = 30% (invoiced in April).
- Monthly schedule: 10 equal monthly instalments, September through June.
- Invoices are prepared by the Foundation and sent by e‑mail to the payer designated at enrolment; the payer must be identified (parent, other private person, or a company with a signed sponsorship contract).
- Any term started is due in full; arrival or departure in the middle of a trimester is billed from the first day of the month of arrival or the full trimester as applicable. Medical absence of at least one consecutive month (with medical certificate) may be considered for an exceptional remission.
Boarding (internat)
- The Lycée français Gustave Eiffel de Budapest does not operate an internat; listed services for families are day services such as school transport and catering provided by external contractors.
Other costs and optional services (annual unless otherwise stated)
- School textbooks and materials: elementary (CP–CM2) textbooks are provided free of charge; collège textbooks are provided against a refundable caution/deposit of HUF 50,000 per collège pupil. Lycée families must provide/cover lycée textbooks. Charges for lost or damaged books are billed.
- Garderie (perischool care): EUR 75 per year for 1 hour/week (annual rate shown), with separate hourly rates for early/ return-period and exceptional care: e.g., exceptional rates EUR 6.50/h (notification before 10:00) and EUR 10.00/h (notification after 10:00). HUF equivalents are published (garderie annual HUF 30,000; exceptional HUF 2,500/h or HUF 4,000/h).
- Étude surveillée (supervised study): EUR 100 per year (1 hour/week). HUF 40,000 per year equivalent.
- Maternelle activities (1.5 h/week): EUR 125 per year (HUF 50,000).
- FLSCO (language support for CP) 1 h/week: EUR 163 per year (HUF 65,000).
- Artistic/cultural/sport activities (1 h/week): EUR 163 per year (HUF 65,000).
- Association sportive (secondary): forfait EUR 163 for two time slots; additional slots EUR 38 each. HUF equivalents given.
- Petit Conservatoire de Musique (PCM): instrumental and collective practice fees vary (e.g., EUR 725 / EUR 550 / EUR 163 for different modules); HUF equivalents given. Note that individual instrument lessons may require purchase or rental of instruments and materials not included in the PCM tariff.
- Cantine (school catering): catering is provided by an external contractor (Delirest Kft.) and billed separately by that contractor; families register on the caterer's platform and receive separate invoices for meals. Meal pricing and payment arrangements are handled by the catering provider.
- School boutique (uniforms, branded items): purchases are processed by questionnaire and a time‑limited payment link is issued for settlement; boutique items are therefore paid via the boutique payment procedure.
Refund and cancellation rules (summary of applicable refund conditions)
- First‑registration fees are non‑refundable.
- For periscolaire activities, music conservatory group activities and most optional annual activities: fees are billed for the full year at the start of the year and, except where explicitly stated, are not refundable in the event of later withdrawal.
- For individual instrumental lessons (PCM), a prorated refund may be granted on notification, but a penalty of HUF 30,000 may be retained.
- Departure in the middle of the school year: written notification at least 15 working days before departure is required; any started trimester is due in full and will be billed accordingly. Exceptional remission for prolonged medical absence requires a medical certificate.
Fee payment options and banking details
- Payments are accepted by bank transfer in the invoiced currency. HUF payments (bank details provided for CIB Bank) and EUR payments (bank details provided for Banque Transatlantique, with IBAN and SWIFT) are the standard settlement channels. Cash deposits to the Foundation's account at CIB Bank agencies are also accepted (deposit must indicate invoice number and pupil name).
- Boutique purchases are settled via a time‑limited online payment link issued after ordering. Catering and transport are contracted to external providers and billed directly by those providers.
Examinations and inclusions
- Obligatory national examination fees (Diplôme National du Brevet for 3e and the baccalauréat general examinations) are included within the cotisations d'écolage.
- Elementary workbooks and some materials are integrated in the tuition charges; however, lycée textbooks and CNED costs (if used) are at parental expense. A refundable caution of HUF 50,000 is required for collège textbook provision.
Important note on 2026/2027 fees
- The final cotisations d'écolage for the 2026/2027 academic year had not been fixed at the time the school's committee communicated to families; the committee indicated any increase for 2026/2027 would not exceed 5%. The schedule above therefore presents the published 2025/2026 fee grid used where 2026/2027 amounts were not yet available.
Located in Budapest, Lycée Français Gustave Eiffel de Budapest is a French international school within the AEFE network, delivering education from kindergarten through lycée to about 750 pupils from around 40 nationalities. The school teaches in French and follows the French lycée curriculum for Seconde, Première, and Terminale, with core subjects including French, Philosophy, History-Geography, Mathematics, Civic Education, Languages, Physical Education, Economics and Social Sciences, and Digital Sciences and Technologies. In Terminale and Première, specialties include History-Geography, Geopolitics and Political Science; Economics and Social Sciences; Languages and Literatures in Foreign Languages; Mathematics; Life and Earth Sciences; Physics-Chemistry.
