Three campuses serve Orchidea Hungarian-English Bilingual School in Budapest: Hajdú utca 18-24 (1139), Cserkesz utca 10-14 (1105), and Orchidea Gimnázium at Szent László út 59-61 (1135). The school provides Hungarian–English bilingual education from kindergarten through the gymnasium. The environment is multicultural with daily use of both languages and a focus on small, family-like groups. There is ongoing collaboration with parents and a strong emphasis on school readiness in the early years. The goal is lifelong learning and the development of socially and morally exemplary personalities.
The Orchidea Gimnázium site includes a gymnasium (tornaterem) for physical education. Use of the gymnasium is governed by safety rules and is supervised by a responsible teacher. Every student is a member of the school sport circle, which provides daily physical education and prepares high‑achieving students for competitions. Safety procedures and equipment management are part of gym use and ongoing supervision. The school's sports activities are integrated into the curriculum and extracurricular programs.
There are szaktantermek (specialized classrooms) on campus, and visitors can tour the school building to view them. The 9–12 bilingual gymnasium program delivers instruction in the target language across subjects, with a staged approach to language and content learning. An English Language Department supports intensive English instruction as part of the program. The two-language gymnasium tracks are designed to achieve high language proficiency and enable content subjects to be taught in English and Hungarian.
The school maintains traditions and provides a range of extracurricular activities, including student governance and clubs. Every student is a member of the school sport circle, supporting ongoing physical education and opportunities to compete. Trips, camps, exchanges, and collaborations with public cultural institutions are organized as part of the learning experience. The school has hosted events such as Science Fair in 2025 and regularly offers programs outside standard classes to enrich student development.
Orchidea Hungarian-English Bilingual School is a Budapest-based program delivering Hungarian–English bilingual education from kindergarten through secondary school across campuses: Hajdú, Cserkesz, and Szent László. The curriculum combines the Hungarian National Core Curriculum with an English-language emphasis, culminating in a bilingual gymnasium track where upper grades study most subjects in the target language. A language-preparation year (9. KNY) starts with 18 hours per week of English and ends with a complex English exam; entry to the 9th grade requires at least a B1 certificate, and graduation aims for CEFR C1 in English. The school serves both Hungarian and international families and maintains a multicultural environment with daily use of both languages. Facilities include specialized classrooms (szaktantermek) and gymnasium on Szent László campus. The program emphasizes lifelong learning, family-like small groups, parental collaboration, and opportunities such as science fairs, trips, and student governance, plus a broad range of clubs and community service.
