A collaboration with The Juilliard School provides opportunities to study drama and music. Students can audition for school productions or musicals, join the orchestra, or participate in stage stars, vocal groups, or senior rock bands. The performing arts program nurtures creativity, teamwork, and confidence.
The school has an international community that fosters language and cultural learning. The co-curricular programme includes Hungarian for beginners, Spanish conversation, world languages clubs, and Hungarian literary walks. These activities broaden horizons and promote intercultural understanding.
There are more than 100 co-curricular activities, spanning competitive and recreational sports, music, performance, languages, and STEAM. Physical recreation includes fitness, football, basketball, dance, gymnastics, yoga, and Aikido, with wellbeing toolkit sessions to support health. BISB Wolves teams compete locally and internationally in football, basketball, and volleyball, and participate in regional competitions.
Students participate in global expeditions and community projects, along with leadership experiences. UNICEF collaboration and UN SDG integration shapes teaching, with the UNCRC embedded in learning. Student councils and committees give pupils a voice, and the peer mentor programme develops older students as role models; social impact activities include Model United Nations.
Leadership is developed through student councils, committees, and peer mentoring. The peer mentor programme enables older students to model positive behaviours and support peers. Global expeditions and Model United Nations provide opportunities to lead projects, debate global issues, and build professional skills.
Wellbeing is a top priority, with an in-house pastoral care team and counsellors and staff trained with the Anna Freud Centre. Wellbeing toolkit sessions support physical and mental health. Recreational sports and clubs promote fitness, resilience, and social belonging through BISB Wolves and a range of activities such as fitness, football, basketball, dance, gymnastics, yoga, and more.
