English is the preferred language of communication at AIS. Hindi is offered as an additional language. Gujarati and Hindi are taught in school, and no prior knowledge is required for new students coming from outside Gujarat. French and Spanish are offered as foreign languages (Grades 1 to 8); subjects other than languages may be taught and examined in English, French, or Spanish.
Foreign Languages Program offers a choice between French and Spanish, taught by Skill Live International's experts. The curriculum focuses on listening, speaking, writing, and reading, with immersive cultural experiences to ensure practical use of the language. It is part of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for Grades 1-5.
Ahmedabad International School (AIS) is an Indian international school for ages 5–18, offering a blend of IB, Cambridge and Gujarat board curricula. The school operates with a 25-year history and a community of 1,850 people, maintaining a 10:1 student–teacher ratio. AIS is affiliated with the International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) and Gujarat Higher Secondary Education Board (GHSEB). In grades 1–5, students follow IB-PYP; grades 6–7 use a Cambridge lower secondary framework; grades 8–10 study Cambridge IGCSE; grades 11–12 offer IB Diploma Programme, Cambridge AS/A Levels or GHSEB HSC.
