How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

AIS emphasizes social and emotional development as part of its holistic education. The school aims to foster social and emotional acuity and develop responsible global citizens. A whole-child approach guides the curriculum, with care for self, care for others, and care for the community as foundational values.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The school has a Learning Support Programme (LSP) for students who are second language learners of English or require English language support. The programme provides classroom support and a pull-out English language component, designed to assist learners at the Primary Years Programme level.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

English is the language of instruction and the language used for communication. Hindi is compulsory in Primary and optional in Middle and Senior School, and Gujarati is the state language. French is introduced in Grade 7 and offered as an optional subject. English is used for publications and day-to-day communications, and the school supports multilingualism and mother-tongue development.

Mental Wellbeing

AIS focuses on holistic development including social and emotional well-being as part of a whole-child approach. CARE for self, care for others, and care for the community are foundational to AIS culture.
