The school is managed by the American School of Bombay Education Trust and governed by a Board of Trustees. The Board is composed of eleven community members: eight are elected, and two are appointed by the Board Chairperson, with the American Consul General serving as Chair. The Head of School is the Chief Executive Officer, aided by a Leadership Team. ASB is organized and operated on a non-profit basis, with virtually all operating revenues generated from student fees and limited assistance from the United States government in the form of an annual grant.
American School of Bombay, Secondary Campus in Bandra East, Mumbai, offers a program for Middle and High School students within IB World School and day-school framework. The campus runs IB Diploma Program alongside an American High School Diploma, with students able to graduate with either diploma or both through IB certificates. The High School portion covers Grades 9–12, with 9–10 foundational and 11–12 advanced coursework. Yatra Program supports experiential learning and intercultural understanding. ASB's facilities span over 200,000 square feet of flexible spaces including multi-modal classrooms, Fine Arts studios, a Black Box Theatre, Band and Choir studios, and Music Technology, plus VR and Green Screen spaces. Science labs, technology integration, decentralized libraries, and an on-site cafe support inquiry and collaboration. The campus hosts athletic facilities and indoor pools, and is affiliated with MSA in USA and associations. Students engage in service clubs and arts performances, SAISA activities, and leadership opportunities.
