Application and enrolment fees

Per‑term tuition (calculation)
- The school operates a two‑term academic calendar with Term 2 running January–June; therefore, per‑term tuition can be calculated as half the annual tuition. The per‑term amounts (annual ÷ 2) are: Pre‑K USD 10,610; K–G5 USD 17,225; G6–10 USD 18,105; G11–12 USD 18,590. Billing schedule and payment terms
- Tuition and other fees are invoiced in US Dollars and payments must be made against the invoices issued by the school.
- Students who start during Term 2 are invoiced 50% of the annual tuition for that entry year.
- Application fee is payable on submission of the application; registration and enrollment fees are payable at time of enrollment (as part of acceptance/confirmation).
- The invoice is the controlling document for payment timing and acceptable payment methods; payments are expected per the instructions on the invoice.

Boarding fees (if applicable)
- The American School of Bombay is a day school and does not operate a boarding program; no boarding fees apply.

Other costs and routine additional charges
- Technology: A laptop is required for students in Grades 4–12 (families purchase devices per ASB guidelines). This is an additional cost borne by families.
- Optional activities and travel: Certain co‑curricular activities, athletics trips, music/drama tours, Model United Nations and other activities that require travel are invoiced separately at the time of sign‑ups and reservations.
- Incidental/ancillary charges: Charges such as transportation (bus service), school meals, uniforms, external examination fees, school supplies, diagnostic or learning‑support services, and special electives may be invoiced separately where applicable; transport provision is used by families and appears as a separate service charge. Parents should expect these items to be additional to the published tuition.

Refund information
- Refunds of tuition following withdrawal are governed by a published withdrawal schedule applied after submission of a Withdrawal Form to the Office of Admission: up to June 15 — 100% refund of tuition; June 16–June 30 — 90% refund; from July 1 onward — 50% refund (for withdrawals before the academic year begins). Mid‑year withdrawal (for students whose last day is on or before the last day of Term 1): on or before November 1 — 50% refund of tuition; after November 1 — no refund. No fees are refunded in the event of temporary school closure for force majeure. Refunds are processed only after all other school dues and return of school materials as required.

Fee payment options and currency
- All tuition and fees are invoiced in US Dollars in compliance with applicable regulation; payments are to be made against invoices and per the payment instructions supplied with each invoice. The invoice indicates acceptable payment channels and details for remittance.

Notes for budgeting
- New‑student one‑time charges (application, registration, and the enrollment fee) create a substantial initial cost in addition to the annual tuition. Families should budget for the one‑time enrollment fee and the device/technology purchase for Grades 4–12, plus optional trip and activity costs and any transport or meal charges.
