MADDFEST is BIS's annual performing arts festival featuring Shakespeare and contemporary plays, international and local dance, solo performances, choir and band showcases, and an extensive art display. Drama, dance, and music classes are taught by professional instructors; BIS has two sound-proof music rooms, a student band, and Elementary, Middle and High School choirs. Fine Arts emphasizes creativity with drawing, painting, and pottery, and student artwork is displayed in exhibitions. BIS Slam is an annual Spoken Word poetry competition for high schoolers.
Round Square promotes international understanding and leadership, based on Internationalism, Democracy, Environmental Stewardship, Adventure, Leadership and Service. The school hosts and participates in Round Square regional conferences, bringing together students from multiple schools. Delegates participate in team-building activities and Barazza sessions, and cultural programs are part of the conference experience. The Round Square conference BIS hosted in 2018 carried the theme Transcending borders, extending our worlds.
BIS Slam is an annual Spoken Word poetry competition. BISON RADIO provides student podcasts that connect BIS students with researchers and scientists, expanding learning beyond the classroom. Festival of Lights, Music Festival and School Plays showcase student talent in dance, music, drama, and production.

Sports Day is a major BIS event where students exhibit athletic skills, with four BIS houses and emphasis on teamwork, creativity and sportsmanship. TAISI is a three-day inter-school sports event featuring football, basketball, tennis, swimming, badminton, cricket, table tennis and athletics. Round Square programs also include adventure activities and field trips to promote outdoor learning and wellbeing.
