Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
The CIS admissions process starts with an online enquiry to create an admissions account. After creating the account, you complete the admissions forms and upload documents to your student's dashboard. Schedule your school visit Monday–Friday, 9 am to 3 pm; appointments last about 1.5 hours. Once you submit the application details, the admissions office provides information to schedule a family conversation and a campus tour; long‑distance families can use a virtual school tour. Step 3 is scheduling Shadow Days for Kindergarten or an Entrance Test for Grades 1–11; long‑distance families can have Entrance Tests (Grades 3–10) at the current school, and for Kindergarten long‑distance applicants a confirmation that the Kindergarten Admission Guidelines are met is required. The Application Fee is $200 per child. CIS notifies applicants of admission status about two weeks after the Observation day or Entrance Test. If admitted, you receive an acceptance letter and the Finance Department invoices a registration fee of $2000 to hold the seat. Submit remaining documents and pay the first‑term tuition before school starts.
Merit‑Based Scholarship: available to new Grade 11 (IB) applicants for the 2025–2026 academic year; Indian citizens with a minimum of 90% in previous grades; up to three scholarships awarded each year, with one scholarship possible for a current Grade 10 CIS student. Applications require completing the school application form and uploading reports (Grade 8, Grade 9 full year, and Grade 10 Term 1); applicants must email a personal introduction and intent to apply for the CIS Merit Scholarship at scholarships@cisb.org.in by the stated deadline (January 16, 2025, 4:00 PM). Selection involves initial eligibility screening, interviews and testing, with admissions tests in English Reading and Mathematics and a written sample; the CIS Scholarship Committee's decision is final. Important notes: scholarship decisions are based on all criteria; awarding a scholarship does not guarantee enrolment; final decision rests with the CIS Scholarship Committee.
