The Candor community includes a Personal Counselor who nurtures the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of students, and a College and Career Guidance Counselor who assists high school students with college admissions and university applications. Counselors are selected for their ability to build rapport with students and to maintain confidentiality. A Special Educator runs the SEN programme to support students with learning differences and to enrich gifted learners. Onsite nursing care and the Additional Learning Support (ALS) team provide medical and learning support services, and Comprehensive Counselling services are available to students. Students are placed in advisory groups to receive timely counsel and support across school life.
The SEN department focuses on the early identification of support needs. The school provides Mild, Moderate, and Intensive Support for students with diverse learning needs, including in-class support and targeted interventions. An Individualised Education Plan (IEP) is outlined at the beginning of the academic session and is reviewed twice a year. For CAIE and IB, accommodations and access arrangements are provided as needed, with referrals to external agencies where required. The Admissions process includes consultation with the SEN Coordinator, and confidentiality is maintained; information about a student's learning needs is shared only with the staff involved in education and support.
The school provides accommodations for students whose first language is not English by following board guidelines, including ESL for IGCSE and English B for IB. The Cambridge and IB language offerings include First Language English and additional language options, with ESL listed as part of the language curriculum and English as a Second Language (L1) among language provisions. English language support is integrated across subjects to facilitate inclusive access to learning. Additional language courses include Hindi, French, German, and Spanish as part of the curriculum.
Well-being is a fundamental priority and is addressed through Positive Education, with modules organized under the Positive Education Enhanced Curriculum (PEEC) for Early, Primary, and Secondary learners. The program focuses on mindfulness, character strengths, positive relationships, health and resilience, engagement, growth mindset, and purpose. Support services include onsite nursing, the ALS team for learning support, and comprehensive counselling. Policies are aligned with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and Indian law, with Child Protection and Inclusion Policies reviewed every two years to protect students and promote inclusive practices.
