Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) helps students become responsible, compassionate citizens. Wellbeing is included as a compulsory subject in Cambridge Primary Grades IV–V under Global Perspectives and Wellbeing. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme develops inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The school promotes citizenship within an international community, fostering ethics, cultural awareness and physical fitness as part of holistic development. The counseling team helps students plan their academic paths and university enrollment.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

The medium of instruction is English. Cambridge Primary Grades I–III list English, Hindi and Marathi as First Language options. Cambridge Primary Grades IV–V offer English, Hindi, Marathi, French, Spanish and German as language options.

Mental Wellbeing

Wellbeing is included as a compulsory subject in Cambridge Primary Grades IV–V. CAS in the IB Diploma Programme supports personal development through Creativity, Activity and Service. The school promotes international mindedness and a peaceful, respectful community contributing to students' emotional well-being. The learning environment is designed to be supportive with small class sizes to nurture well-being. Counseling support helps students with academic planning and university enrollment.

HFS International Powai is an English-language international school in Mumbai offering a dual CAIE and IB programme. The Cambridge pathway progresses from Primary (Grades I–V) through Secondary 1 (VI–VIII) to IGCSE (IX–X), with English, Hindi and Marathi as Group 1 languages and French and Spanish as Group 2 options. The Cambridge IGCSE requires a minimum seven subjects, with at least one from each group and a threshold of ten students to offer a subject. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is available for Grades XI–XII, organized into six subject groups, with three subjects at Higher Level and three at Standard Level and a minimum enrolment of eight students per subject. The school emphasizes inquiry-based learning, international mindedness, and CAS.
