Hopetown Girls' School is a fully residential all-girls boarding school on a 50-acre campus near Dehradun, set in a Sal forest with views of the lower Mussoorie hills. Founded by Mr Kamal Sehgal, it was established as a place for five hundred girls to grow up in a supportive, joyful environment. The curriculum includes Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE alongside ICSE and ISC, with strong facilities such as a large, airy library, laboratories, and arts studios. The Performing Arts Centre is state-of-the-art, and the school hosts one of the largest orchestras among schools in India. Yoga and karate are mandatory for all students, and athletics features national-level competition. Extracurriculars cover dance, music, drama, and Art and Design, plus opportunities through ISTA and a leadership, debate-focused program. A global alumni network supports leadership and service initiatives beyond school life. The Photography Club publishes its own calendar and hosts a yearly exhibition annually.
