Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Indus International School, Pune was established on August 21, 2008 with 40 students. It operates as a day-cum boarding school, and today serves over 1,100 students from 30+ countries with about 280 boarders. The school is part of the Indus Trust, whose founder and CEO is LT. General Arjun Ray, PVSM, VSM (RETD.). It is an IB World School affiliated to the International Baccalaureate Curriculum and offers all four IB programmes (PYP, MYP, DP, CP).

Community

Co-curricular life at Indus Pune includes the Whole Education Programme, the Innovation Curriculum, Startup School, House Visions, Community Service Projects, inter-school tournaments and inter-house competitions. The school fosters an active parent–school community through the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC). The PAC meets with the Principal, Vice Principal and Heads of School at least three times in the academic year and maintains confidentiality, with Grade Representatives as a first point of contact for parents.

Parent-Teacher Association

PAC (Parents Advisory Committee) in Indus International School Pune was formed to enable continuous dialogue between parents and school management. It consists of a core group of parent volunteers who interact with parents and share constructive feedback with the school. The PAC meets with the Principal, Vice Principal and Heads of School at least three times in the academic year, and has Grade Representatives for each grade who serve as the first point of contact. Parents are free to discuss any issue with the Grade Representatives or PAC, and the PAC maintains confidentiality. Any PAC member may be contacted to volunteer as a Grade Representative for the current or upcoming academic year.

Indus International School Pune is an IB World School offering the full International Baccalaureate continuum for students aged 3 to 18. The campus, set on a spacious green site, houses separate Lower, Middle and High School zones and a wide range of facilities to support inquiry-based learning.
