JIRS offers three educational programmes: CBSE, Cambridge International Examinations (IGCSE), and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The Cambridge International curriculum is a global standard that is flexible, challenging and inspiring, with a culturally sensitive yet international approach. The IB Diploma Programme is a rigorous two-year course designed to prepare students for university life and beyond. English is the medium of instruction and language of communication on campus. Students have the option to study international languages such as French or Spanish as part of the Cambridge International and IB Diploma pathways to become bilingual. The school highlights placement at prominent global universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, and universities in Singapore and beyond.

The school admits students with mild and moderate learning disabilities. SEN educators support learning needs, while subject teachers may not be qualified to accommodate severe disabilities. The school follows inclusive education practices with an identified SEN process and provision of accommodations and remedial plans. Students identified as needing support are offered remedial plans and appropriate accommodations, with regular review and modification. The SEN policy outlines pathways for referrals to external professionals when needed.

The school uses English as the medium of instruction. In Cambridge IGCSE, English is offered as First Language, with Hindi as Second Language, and French and Spanish offered as Foreign Languages. Medium of Instruction for CBSE is English. In the IB Diploma Programme, English Language and Literature is studied in Group 1, and French ab initio and Spanish ab initio are available in Group 2.

Admissions are merit-based and competitive due to limited boarding vacancies per class/curriculum. The admission process comprises four steps: ENQUIRE, APPLY ONLINE, JET 2024-25 (JAIN Excellence Test), and Admission Registration. The Scholarship Program has three categories: Academic Performer, Sport Achiever, Co Curricular. Eligibility applies to new admissions for the academic year 2025-2026 and to students enrolling from Grade 5 to 8 (CBSE or Cambridge Intl) who apply by the due date. Academic Performer criteria require 80% or above in 2–3 school-level exams in 2024-25 and 80% or above in the final exam results of 2023-24 and the mid-term exam of 2024 batch, plus a JET score of 80% or above. Sport Achiever requires exceptional state- or national-level achievement with evidence of certificates. Co Curricular requires wins in recognized Olympiads or other competitions. The scholarship is offered for one year (year of joining for new admissions only of academic year 2025-2026). Points are awarded across categories; the total points determine the scholarship award. The amount ranges from INR 70,000 to INR 1,00,000 as a reduction on the school fees and applies to the applicable fees for the new grade and curriculum. The offer is open only until 31 March 2025 for eligible candidates enrolled with JIRS for AY 2025, subject to meeting the criteria, and the selection includes an assessment of JET results and academic marks; the panel's decision is final, and the scholarship may be withdrawn if any certifications are untrue.
