Jayshree Periwal International School (JPIS) was founded in 2011 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and was formerly known as Step by Step International School. It pioneered IB education in Rajasthan and has since expanded to about 1,700 students. JPIS is accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization and Cambridge Examinations, is a SAT and PSAT testing centre, has become an ACT Test Centre and holds ASCD accreditation. The JPIS faculty consists of over 300 highly qualified teachers, creating a teacher–student ratio of 1:5.
JPIS believes in giving back to society and runs a structured community service program. Students participate in stints at Tilonia Village, SOS Village Jaipur, Eye Bank Society, and Schools for Special Children to learn the value of service. Activities include Buddy Reading Program, fundraising, environmental clean-up, eye donation awareness, work in old age homes, heritage conservation, and a Swachh Bharat initiative that involved adopting Hawa Mahal and performing street plays in 30 wards. JPIS has hosted the first TEDx Youth event in Rajasthan and conducts regular school events such as the Annual Day and inter-school competitions.
