Kodaikanal International School was founded in 1901 by American missionaries as a school for missionary children in the scenic hill station of Kodaikanal. In 1976, it became the first school in India and the second in Asia to offer the IB Diploma Programme. The school celebrated its 125th anniversary with a fundraising campaign.
