Neev was founded in June 2005 to fill a gap in high-quality early childhood education in India. The approach to early years development blends rigor with creativity and emphasizes the development of multiple intelligences and signature strengths. Neev Academy focuses on grade-school education, preparing students to be leaders and thinkers in a rapidly globalizing world, with creativity and discipline both viewed as essential for success. Neev shifted to the Yemalur campus in April 2016; it earned PYP candidate status in 2014 and PYP accreditation in 2016, followed by MYP accreditation in 2017 and DP accreditation with DP launch in 2018. NEASC accreditation was granted in 2021.
Neev Academy's community events and celebrations bring together students, teachers, and parents. The school hosts annual events such as Sarvajeet Diwas sports day and Language Day to celebrate multilingual heritage. The Neev Literature Festival (NLF) is a gathering for authors, educators, parents, and students for literary exploration, and Eureka is a science fair that engages students in hands-on inquiry and celebrates discovery. The parent community also participates in events by volunteering for activities such as the Christmas choir, Dussehra Golu display, Children's Day fun fair, and read-aloud sessions.
The School Management Committee is a body across the Neev organization comprising parent representatives from all five Neev Early Years branches and Neev Academy, along with leadership and students. The committee's purpose is to ensure an all-round perspective of stakeholders and to deepen engagement between home and school. The Parent Community participates in events such as volunteering for the Christmas choir, setting up a Children's Day fun fair, and read-aloud sessions, with events calendared in advance. Neev also offers expert talks for parents on topics related to early childhood care and education and invites parent volunteers to contribute as experts for school inquiries.
Neev Academy is a full-continuum international school in Bengaluru offering IB (PYP, MYP, DP) and ICSE options in the middle years. The campus serves ages 2 to 17, with Early Years focused on language, cognitive, and social-emotional development; PYP (ages 3–12) emphasizes inquiry-based, transdisciplinary learning; MYP (ages 11–16) features interdisciplinary study with ICSE in G6–G10; DP (ages 16–19) includes TOK, CAS, and the Extended Essay. Founded in 2005, Neev earned PYP accreditation in 2016, MYP in 2017, DP in 2018, and NEASC accreditation in 2021. The Yemalur campus sits on a landscaped 16-acre site in Bengaluru, with naturally ventilated classrooms, modern laboratories, libraries, and computing facilities. The Campus Expansion Plan adds STEAM precincts, an indoor gym, an auditorium, and a dedicated ICSE building. Learning Journeys and service learning enrich academics, alongside extensive arts and sports facilities.
