Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Oakridge Bengaluru is part of Nord Anglia Education. The Oakridge International School brand was established in 2001, with its first campus opening in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad on 11 June 2001. Nord Anglia Education acquired Oakridge in February 2019. The Bengaluru campus offers the International Baccalaureate continuum with the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme.

Community

The school encourages students, teachers and the wider school community to do social good through outreach activities. The programme aligns with Oakridge and IB goals and includes experiential learning and the CAS project in IBDP Year 1. Student-led campaigns include Give Way to Ambulance, mobilising Oakridgers to raise awareness and improve emergency access. Waterwise and other community projects address Bengaluru's local needs and aim to help the community thrive.

Parent-Teacher Association

Oakridge Bengaluru has Oakridge Parent Partners (OPP). OPP is formed each year to recruit parent volunteers who represent the parent community for different sections and grades. The parent volunteers represent the parent community in school activities.
