Hindi, Spanish and Mandarin are taught at the PYP level. French is added in the MYP and DP levels. In Secondary, English B language acquisition is provided and, after exit criteria, students study Language and Literature English and Language Acquisition in Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin), Hindi and French for the remainder of the MYP. EAL support is available for non-native English speakers from Grade 1 to Grade 10.
Three students were awarded Bilingual Diplomas in Japanese and Korean in the Diploma Programme. The Diploma Programme (Grades 11-12) includes a bilingual diploma pathway. This demonstrates that there is formal bilingual recognition for Japanese and Korean within the IB Diploma Programme.
Full-immersion P1/P2 (Nursery and LKG) classes receive support from the Head of Student Support Services. The Primary School EAL program supports non-native English speakers from Grade 1 to Grade 10. After meeting exit criteria, students may study additional languages including Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin), Hindi and French in the MYP and DP language acquisition.
Stonehill International School in Bengaluru is an IB World School offering the continuum of IB programs for ages 3–18: PYP, MYP, DP and the Career-related Programme (IBCP).
