Academic and Intellectual

The school offers Key Stage 3, IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme, with two IB pathways: the Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the Career-related Programme (IBCP). The Secondary curriculum is designed to be broad, balanced and clearly articulated, building on foundations from Key Stage 3. Students are prepared for IGCSE and IB Diploma programmes through application-based teaching and learning. The school provides personalised university admissions guidance from career counsellors and an internship programme with interns from Oxford and Cambridge universities, and graduates achieve placements at top universities worldwide.

Arts and Creative

Arts are integrated across the curriculum, with study of art and theatre history, project-based learning, masterclasses and workshops. Instrumental lessons are available for Upper Primary and Key Stage 3, delivered by specialist tutors. The music program aligns with the English National Curriculum for Primary and offers Cambridge IGCSE and IB music courses in later years. The school partners with ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall and hosts events such as ABRSM High Scorer's Concerts and the ISACI World Music Choral Festival.

Cultural and Language

The school follows the English curriculum and offers education to students aged 3 to 18, including EYFS, IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme. Model United Nations (MUN) is hosted and participated in by the school at national and international levels. The school is a Round Square member, providing opportunities for conferences, student exchange programmes, service projects and experiential learning. Primary enrichment includes Athletics, Ballet, Chess, Guitar Ensemble, Hindi Language Club, Indian Classical Dance, Pottery Club, Theatre and Yoga, among others. Community and Service

The Community Engagement programme embeds the UN Sustainable Development Goals into service learning and real-world projects. It teaches students to address social and environmental issues through experiential learning, reflections and community partnerships. The CAS component of the IB Diploma Programme involves activities such as music creation, martial arts teaching, charitable donations and mental health initiatives. Projects include Annapoorna, Glass Up India, The Ourchive Project and CanFree™, highlighting sustained, impact-driven service.

Leadership and Professional

The school offers opportunities to develop personal and professional leadership skills through workshops, assemblies and school tours. The Student Council provides a voice for student welfare with leadership training and cross-phase collaboration. Round Square membership enables conferences, student exchanges and regional/international service projects to nurture holistic development. The programme also includes the Model United Nations (MUN), the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award (IAYP) and teacher/peer-led and student-led clubs that foster leadership and collaboration.

The British School New Delhi sits on a Chanakyapuri campus serving ages 3–17.
