The Doon School's life skills course is based on the United Kingdom's SEAL programme. Counsellors offer one-to-one confidential advice and group work. Life Skill Educators and Counsellors are Dr Shivangi Saxena and Ms Nalini Malaviya. Student welfare is monitored by the Deputy Head (Pastoral), the School Doctor and the Counsellors.
The Doon School has a Learning Support department. Six teachers have been trained by DRISHTI to support boys with special educational needs. The process uses screeners and review of notebooks and answer scripts, followed by standardized tests to identify needs. An individualized Education Plan (IEP) is developed by DRISHTI and implemented by the trained teachers. An ICP (individualized counselling programme) provides counselling to help boys emotionally cope with performance.
The Doon School provides a confidential and free wellbeing service as part of its pastoral care. The Wellness Centre offers 24-hour care for all boys, with a 24-bed facility and health staff including a full-time resident Doctor, a nurse and nursing assistants, and a psychotherapist (Megha Sharma) on staff. Counsellors provide one-to-one confidential advice and group support. Student welfare is monitored by the Deputy Head (Pastoral), the School Doctor and the Counsellors.
The Doon School has a Child Welfare Committee in accordance with the POCSO Act 2012. Child Welfare Officer is Ms. Stuti Kuthiala (Dean Pastoral). School Doctor is Dr. Hrithik Rauthan. School Counsellors are Dr. Shivangi Saxena and Ms. Nalini Malaviya.
The Doon School is a longstanding all-boys boarding school in India for students aged 11 to 18. It offers a multi-board curriculum with a bespoke framework: ICSE/ISC, Cambridge IGCSE, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in the final two years. In Middle School (VII–VIII) students build foundations in language arts, global languages, STEM, humanities, arts and well-being, with emphasis on independence, self-awareness, leadership and personal development. The school is affiliated to CISCE, IGCSE and IB, reflecting cross-board offerings. The Chandbagh campus blends heritage with modern facilities, including Kilachand Library, the BML Munjal Auditorium and the Rose Bowl open-air theatre; a Sports Complex includes a heated pool, gym and floodlit courts.
