1. Getting to know the school. Families from diverse backgrounds are welcome to apply to TRIO. Those in Bangalore can arrange a visit to experience a campus tour and meet the Head of School, the Secondary Principal, or the coordinator of the relevant section. For families not in Bangalore, the admissions office will set up a Zoom call with the appropriate grade coordinator, and a virtual 360-degree tour is available. The aim is to provide an accessible, holistic introduction to TRIO and its international program.
2. Sending in an inquiry. Inquiries may be sent via email, phone, or WhatsApp. The admissions team will respond within two working days and can adapt to your preferred mode and time zone for follow-up conversations.
3. Interaction with the child for assessment. An interaction is arranged to assess the child's skill level and support needs, involving an interview and/or a test. This interaction can be conducted online, offline, or based on the last two years of academic reports from the previous school. The process helps the school understand the child's strengths, challenges, and potential.
4. Notification of Admission. The Admissions Office informs families whether the child is a good fit for the grade applied for or provides recommendations if needed. The communication may include guidance on next steps depending on the assessment outcomes.
5. Acceptance of Admissions. If admission is accepted, the admissions team guides families through completing the required forms, submitting documents, and paying fees, online or offline. Documents typically required include passport-size photos of the child, government ID proofs for parents, birth certificate (Indian students), transfer certificate, last report card or school recommendation letter, vaccination/medical certificate, and a passport copy with visa for foreign/NRI students.
6. Post admission and first day. Families receive a welcome email with transport, uniforms, important contacts, and campus guidelines. If joining at the start of the academic year, an Orientation Day invitation is extended. On the first day, security and reception staff are informed, the child is guided to the classroom by a homeroom or assistant teacher, and a class buddy helps the student acclimate.
7. Practical notes. Registrations occur Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Admissions are subject to seats available in the respective grades. An application fee is collected at the time of admission. A prior appointment for a campus tour is recommended.
