Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

1. Past two years' scholastic and co-curricular records from previous schools highlighting academic and personal growth are required. Documentation should accompany the application for processing. A copy of birth certificate or passport is mandatory. Please include all necessary documentation required for processing an admission.

2. It is ideal to visit TRINS when the school is in session. If visiting is not possible, the admission office can arrange an interaction with your child via telephone or Skype. The admissions process is the same for Indian and International Students. This helps the admissions team understand the child in a personal context.

3. All applicants must meet the Age criterion. The age criterion applies to all applicants. The admissions process includes age as a criterion for eligibility. The policy applies consistently across applicants.

4. Applicants need to appear for a Proficiency Test and a Personal Interview. The assessment focuses on English, Mathematics, and Science, including vocabulary, writing, reading, comprehension, mathematics and speaking skills. The duration of entrance tests varies by grade: 30 minutes for Grades 1-3; 45-60 minutes for Grades 4-5; 2 hours for Grades 6-12. Based on the review of the TRINS admissions entrance test performance, previous school records and personal interview, a decision to offer a place is made by the Coordinator/Section Head and Principal.

5. The school invites applications for Kindergarten – K1 and K2; Primary – Grade 1 to 5; Middle and High – Grade 6 to 10; Senior School – Grade 11-12 (Cambridge AS & A Levels and IBDP). Enrollment for Early Childhood includes an interaction with the curriculum coordinator. Enrollment for Grade 1 to Grade 10 includes a Proficiency Assessment to check competency in English, Mathematics and Science; the test durations are as above. Enrollment for Grade 11 requires completion of Grade 10 with a pass percentage of at least 50% from the IB, IGCSE, CBSE, or ICSE Boards; new students will take a placement test for subjects, English and Mathematics and will be advised by the Vice Principal, Academic Section Head, DPC and subject teachers. The school discusses the financial implications of the A Level and IBDP with parents to ensure feasibility.
