The school offers dual Cambridge International and Singapore Curriculum, preparing students for Cambridge IGCSE and A‑Levels. Instruction is predominantly in English with a strong emphasis on Chinese language and culture. Music & Performing Arts are offered through Ensemble/Music Club and a range of instruments, including cello, clarinet, electric guitar, saxophone, violin, viola, and wind instruments, plus dance and drama. Bina Bangsa School Balikpapan educates learners from 1 to 17 across preschool to secondary levels. The preschool follows the Singapore Kindergarten Curriculum Framework and UK Early Years Foundation Stage, and offers an integrated English–Mandarin bilingual programme for ages 2 to 6, with Mandarin introduced.
