Bina Bangsa School was established to provide an internationally recognized education in Indonesia within a loving family environment. After more than 22 years in the education industry, the school emphasizes a space where teachers inspire students to understand and explore unlimited possibilities. Today the school has more than 600 staff, 500 teachers, 4000 students, and 6 campuses, with instruction predominantly in English and a strong emphasis on Chinese language and culture. The six campuses are HEADQUARTER, JAKARTA-KJ, JAKARTA-PIK, BANDUNG, MALANG, SEMARANG, led by Surya Putra Subandi (Founder & President Director) and Lie Ngian Keng (Co-Founder & Academic Development Advisor) along with Zenobia Subandi (Corporate Secretary), Lanrika Rusli (Operational Director), and Paulus Sia (Co-Founder & Academic Development Advisor).
The school's signature programmes support a vibrant learning community, including a Chinese Language Programme with HSK; BBS is the only authorized center in Indonesia to administer HSK exams. A Science & Mathematic Talent Programme and a Coding & Robotic Programme foster STEM and technology skills, with Make-X Robotic Projects competitions across campuses. Harvard Model Congress Asia, Model United Nations, and Harvard Leaders Conference provide global leadership experiences, while Yearly Music Orchestra Concerts, Student Exchanges to China, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Internship Programme, and Young Entrepreneurship Programme expand opportunities beyond the classroom. The Yearly Music Orchestra Concert is held annually, showcasing students' musical talents each March.
Bina Bangsa School Jakarta offers a truly international education within Indonesia, delivering a dual Cambridge International and Singapore Curriculum from Early Years through Junior College. The full program spans Nursery (ages 2–5) to Junior College (ages 16–17), with Primary and Secondary years leading to Cambridge IGCSE examinations and A-Levels. Instruction is predominantly in English, with a strong emphasis on Chinese language and culture, and Mandarin introduced in the early years.
