Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Dyatmika's Early Years Programme is active, fun and child-centred. Activities are designed to foster social and emotional skills, alongside fine and gross motor skills and intellectual development. Each class is supported by highly skilled bilingual teachers and full-time teaching assistants, who use a holistic approach that supports language development in both Bahasa Indonesia and English. The student-teacher ratio helps develop quality relationships between staff and children. The focus on social and emotional growth supports children's early development and social interactions.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Dyatmika's Early Years curriculum engages learners using the Cambridge Early Years framework and phonics programmes to build foundations in speaking, listening, reading and writing in both English and Bahasa Indonesia. The school uses bilingual teaching, supported by two bilingual Early Years teachers and teaching assistants. Reading activities are conducted in both languages to develop comprehension, speaking and listening skills. The approach emphasises language development in both English and Bahasa Indonesia through integrated play and literacy activities. This bilingual environment supports early language acquisition in both languages.
