Extra-Curricular Activities

Clubs, activities, and opportunities to explore interests and passions

Academic and Intellectual

Green School Bali uses a project-based, transdisciplinary curriculum guided by the Green Literacies Framework. The program is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), enabling graduates to receive a U.S. High School Diploma. Learning is organized around three frames of learning—Experiential, Proficiency, and Thematics—integrating academics with creative, physical, emotional, and ecological learning. The model emphasizes relationship-centered and holistic learning, experiential and evolving practice, authentic and action-oriented work, and local-to-global responsibility.

Arts and Creative

Creative Arts is a core Specialist Subject. The Arts curriculum is Bali-inspired, and students regularly display work in weekly assemblies and on-campus galleries. Performing Arts covers theatre, storytelling, mime, directing, voice, film-making, movement, and related disciplines, with a focus on collaboration, confidence, and self-expression. Visual Arts and Music develop creativity and literacy through varied media and ensembles, including bamboo sculpture, gamelan, choir, and open-art practice.

Cultural and Language

English Language Learning (ELL) is available for students who need language support. Students from many countries join with varying levels of English; Entering Early Years may have limited or no English, Primary School students with limited English may join Green School English before entering, and Middle- or High-School students require intermediate English. The learning program connects local Balinese culture and global citizenship, reflecting a Local-to Global approach to education.

Social and Hobbies

Arts and Performing Arts foster social collaboration, confidence, and self-expression. Students display art and performances at weekly assemblies and on-campus galleries, while theatre, dance, and film projects emphasize teamwork and creativity. The program includes a range of arts disciplines—creative arts, performing arts, visual arts, and music—across Primary, Middle, and High School.

Community and Service

Theatre outreach engages with the local community, linking student learning to service. Green School emphasizes wellbeing and social-emotional development, with a counselling team offering individual and group support and parent workshops to strengthen the school community.

Leadership and Professional

Entrepreneurial Learning is embedded as a way of being, not just a subject. Students practice entrepreneurial skills through regular challenges and mentoring, from early years through high school, including three-week intensive design challenges such as GreenLEAP.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Social-emotional wellbeing is prioritized with a highly experienced counselling team offering developmentally appropriate support and occasional short-term counseling. The Head of Campus emphasizes wellbeing, noting that wellbeing matters more than grades.
