Hillcrest School offers separate facilities for elementary, middle, and high school, designed to meet the needs of each age group. The outdoor soccer field is used for practices, games, and school events such as sports day. The indoor court is a central hub for basketball and volleyball and hosts a local school tournament annually. The futsal court provides space for futsal training and matches. A weight room supports strength and conditioning for students across teams.
The science lab is fully equipped for chemistry, biology, and physics with appropriate safety equipment. The music room houses pianos, guitars, and drums for student ensembles. There are two computer labs: one for elementary and middle school students, and another for high school students. The art room provides space and supplies for art projects with organized storage and tables.
Friday night games see high school teams compete against area schools in volleyball, indoor soccer, and basketball. Friday night meals are prepared and sold during the games. Talent Show, Spirit Week, Christmas Banquet, and Chapel are part of student life. Outdoor Education offers two-week service-learning trips to Papuan communities.
Hillcrest School is a Christian day school in Sentani, Papua, offering an American-based curriculum. The program follows U.S. standards and uses AERO for core subjects, integrating a Christian worldview. Bible is used in social studies and science; every student takes a Bible course each semester with weekly chapels. Instruction is in English, with Indonesian language included; ELL support and mother-tongue instruction offered when staff allow. Pre-1 to 5 are classroom-based; grades 6–12 are departmentalized, with offerings in English, math, science, social studies, and languages; French, Korean and Spanish offered when staffing permits.
