The school is a private school (SPK) accredited by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek). It is governed by school leadership with a Head of School, and a Parents' Community operates autonomously but collaborates with the Head of School and the Coordinator for Academic Partnerships. Jakarta Nanyang School is affiliated with Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and is a member of the WIDA International Schools Consortium (WISC).
Jakarta Nanyang School (JNY) is a Cambridge International School in BSD City, Tangerang, serving children from age 3 to 18. The Cambridge pathway runs from Primary through Secondary to Junior College, with Cambridge Checkpoint at Primary 6, Cambridge IGCSE at Secondary 4, and Cambridge International AS & A Levels at Junior College 2. Bahasa Indonesia is studied to meet the national requirement, while English remains the primary language of instruction in most subjects. The school also provides Chinese Language and Culture and Bahasa Indonesia at additional levels, reinforcing a trilingual exposure. A holistic character development programme emphasizes moral education and the practise of eastern values. In Kindergarten, students learn English, Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia, with core subjects including Mathematics, Science, Art, Music, Computing, Physical Education, Moral Education and Thematic Time. Since 2020 the school operates under an independent governance model on a resort-like campus with four sections and modern facilities.
