Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

The French School of Bali, known as LFB (Lycée Français de Bali), is a French international school in Kerobokan, Bali. It opened on September 1, 1991. It is an Indonesian legal foundation (yayasan) and a French-approved establishment recognized by the French National Education and a partner of the AEFE, with over 30 years of history. The LFB offers trilingual education from kindergarten (French, Indonesian, and English) and started an international section from 6th grade (12 years old) in 2023/2024. In recent years, LFB has added three new facilities, including a new kindergarten in Umalas, and serves preschool to Terminale with about 400 students and more than 25 nationalities.

Community

The Principal's Message describes LFB Bali as a vibrant community where cultures converge. Bali's traditions and natural beauty provide a backdrop for the international community. The campus is a haven for exploration and creativity, with opportunities in the arts, sports, robotics, and drama. Parents' partnership is valued, with open communication and collaboration to ensure the best educational experience for students.

Parent-Teacher Association

The LFB Parents Association is a non-profit association created by the parents of students to maintain a French educational model. By default, every parent is a member and elects representatives who sit on the Management Committee. The Management Committee, composed of volunteer parents elected for three years by the LFB Parent Association, works with the school administration and teaching teams to propose, analyze, and decide on all aspects of daily school life and uphold the rules for the LFB community. Representatives listed include Mary Barabotti (President), Faustine Schricke (Vice-President), Jeanne David (Hygiene & Safety), Clément Pacaud (Treasurer), and Christophe Braconnier (Secretary).
