Manado Independent School offers a range of academic and student facilities, including laboratories, a library, a media centre, a music hall, and a playground. MIS laboratories include the Computer Lab, Science Lab, and Language Lab, used under the supervision of teachers. The Library houses a diverse collection of textbooks, reference works, fiction, dictionaries, encyclopedias, magazines, clippings, audio materials and CDs, with a borrowing system for students, teachers and staff. The Media Centre contains three studios established during the COVID-19 pandemic to support teaching and collaboration. The Music Hall provides multiple instrument rooms and the Playground offers supervised outdoor space for safe play and activities.
Laboratories include the Computer Lab, Science Lab and Language Lab, used under teacher supervision. The Computer Lab operates with stated hours and is accessible to MIS faculty, staff and students with individual logins. The Library houses a diverse collection of resources and implements borrowing rules, membership cards, and fines for late returns or lost books. Library hours are Monday–Thursday 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M., and Friday 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M., with policies for borrowing and usage. The Wi‑Fi hotspot provides internet access for registered users under IT department oversight. The Science Laboratory enforces safety rules and requires teacher supervision for all experiments.
The Music Hall includes Piano, Violin, Guitar, Band, Saxophone, Kointang, Angklung, Glee, Orchestra and Drum rooms for music programs; access is limited to teachers in charge and students during supervised sessions. Music Hall guidelines require ID badges and English to be spoken at all times, with entry restricted to supervised activities. The Media Centre houses three studios established during COVID-19 to foster education and connectivity. The Playground provides supervised outdoor space with safety rules, and attendees participate in worship and other religious services regularly.
Manado Independent School (MIS), formerly Manado International School, is a private Christian international school serving Early Childhood through High in Kolongan, Minahasa, near Manado, Indonesia. It is the first and only Sulawesi international school licensed for all levels under SPK system. MIS is affiliated with Cambridge Assessment International Education and Oxford, and earned ASIC Premier Institution status in 2024, with BAN-S/M 'A' rating for all sections. The school offers Early Childhood, Elementary (Grades 1–6), Middle and High School. The Elementary curriculum blends Oxford ESL with a Cambridge Minor program; Cambridge English and Cambridge Math are part of the Cambridge Subject Group for Grades 1–6, while Grades 1–4 do not require Cambridge. Daily devotionals and a Chapel frame the day.
