NAS Jakarta offers an extensive programme of extracurricular activities designed to help students grow beyond the classroom. The programme includes sports, arts, technology, and messy play, with activities scheduled after school and led by teachers or professional coaches; many are free. Students participate in 3 to 5 activities each week, and a swimming class extends the core swimming programme to boost skills.
The performing arts are a core part of NAS Jakarta, with weekly music lessons covering composers, genres, and instruments such as ukulele and guitar, and opportunities to sing. The Juilliard School collaboration enhances dance, drama, and music with Juilliard-trained staff and a repertoire of works. The music curriculum is designed with Juilliard, and students can participate in performances and lunchtime/after-school ensembles.
NAS Jakarta celebrates local Indonesian culture with Batik Day, Pancasila, and Ibu Kartini Day to teach heritage and traditions. Local traditions help students build intercultural skills as they interact with a diverse community. Model United Nations is offered through UNICEF collaboration, providing opportunities for debate and SDG-focused projects.

Student Voice representatives are elected to listen to peers, take initiative, and shape the school community. They have influenced the design and implementation of the House system, playground rules, and community projects, and have led recycling programs and resource donations to a local kindergarten. The House system fosters collaboration across year groups and healthy competition, giving students opportunities to lead and influence school life.
