From humble beginnings, Nord Anglia School Jakarta began with one Indonesian teacher who taught Dutch children in the back room of her home in Menteng. Known as the Netherlands Inter-community School (NIS), the school's reputation and student numbers quickly grew, and a dedicated building was established on Jalan Proklamasi in 1967. Subsidies from the Dutch government supported further expansion, and the school relocated to Slipi in 1972. It moved to Cilandak to serve the expatriate community before settling in its current home on Jalan Jeruk Perut. In 2017, the school joined the Nord Anglia global family and was renamed Nord Anglia School Jakarta, now celebrating more than 55 years of education excellence.
NAS Jakarta has a tight-knit, safe community with small classes and strong relationships among students, parents, teachers, and staff. Our student community comes together to collaborate on common interests through ECAs, Student Voice, and our House system. The Nord Anglia Education family emphasizes relationships with the wider community, and the leadership team welcomes parents and students as partners, organizing speaker series on topics important to parents and other community-wide events.
Nord Anglia School Jakarta is an international Early Years and Primary school in Indonesia serving ages 1 to 12.
