Sekolah Perkumpulan Mandiri (SPM) is an Indonesian non-denominational, not-for-profit school established in 1994 by five founding families led by Laurel and George Tahija. The school began as Sekolah Perkumpulan Mandiri in 1996/1997 with Kindergarten and Grade 1 and 25 students, and later expanded to Elementary through Junior and Senior High. It adopts a Student-Centered and Inquiry-Based approach that emphasizes character development alongside academic achievement through The Leader in Me program. In 2012, SPM was recognised as the first International Lighthouse School outside the United States for implementing The Leader in Me. On May 30, 2015, PSKD Mandiri transformed into Sekolah Perkumpulan Mandiri (SPM). The school uses National and Cambridge Curricula and operates across two campuses, located in Menteng and Panglima Polim. These features position SPM as an Indonesian international option with a structured leadership and learning framework for diverse learners. These developments reflect the school's growth overall.
