Regality Academy was founded in 2012 in Jakarta as Sekolah Royal Tunas Mulia. It is registered as an SPK (Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama) and bases its curriculum on the International Primary Curriculum, with Indonesian government accreditation. The school implements The Leader in Me program by Stephen Covey to develop student leadership. It was founded by Mrs. Indri Gautama, a Christian leader and humanitarian.
The Regality Academy community is supported by a Parent and Student Lighthouse team that promotes service for local and international communities. They have organized initiatives such as raising 12 million IDR and donating 84 pairs of shoes to victims of the Cianjur earthquake. They run campus cleanups and Ramadan Eid donation drives for cleaning staff, security, drivers, and local staff. International outreach includes a Destination Imagination team collaborating with Ukraine for a regional competition (with Pakistan during the pandemic); in 2023, the Student Lighthouse team organized a school pack and stationery gift for refugee students at HELP for Refugees School.
