1. Families are invited to complete the online information form; a representative from the school will contact them after submission. Alternatively, families may contact the school directly. 2. The child will have to sit admission tests in English and Maths. These tests are part of the admissions process. 3. The language of instruction is English. In addition to English, the school offers Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, and French; language support is provided where needed to help students access the curriculum. 4. Current class sizes vary from 4 to 16 students, with a maximum of 18. This structure supports smaller teaching groups and closer student attention. The school also notes a 1:8 teacher-to-student ratio as part of its learning environment. 5. Students sit Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A level examinations in May–June. Students in Years 6 and 9 sit Cambridge Checkpoint examinations; these are externally assessed. The Indonesian National Examinations are offered at the school. 6. Reports are issued twice a year in December and June. Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled in October and March to discuss progress.
Surabaya European School (SES) is an international school in Pakuwon Indah, Surabaya, welcoming students aged 3–18. Founded in 1997 as Surabaya's first Montessori school with AMI-trained teacher, SES adopted the British National Curriculum in 2001 and gained Cambridge accreditation in 2011, with examinations conducted on site. Curriculum begins with Montessori in the early years, followed by Cambridge Primary and Secondary, Cambridge IGCSE in Years 10–11, and Cambridge A Levels in Years 12–13. English is the language of instruction; Indonesian is taught, Mandarin and French offered. Subjects include History, Geography, ICT, Computer Science, Global Perspectives, Art and Design, Physical Education, Drama, Mandarin, French and Bahasa Indonesia. Facilities include a Montessori Learning Area, Primary and Secondary Classrooms, Computer Laboratories, Lower and Upper Secondary Science Laboratories, and a Library. Sports facilities include a swimming pool, gym, tennis courts, and a football field. SES supports Duke of Edinburgh and World Scholar Cup program globally.
