The Indonesian national curriculum covers Indonesian language and studies; for Indonesian nationals, Civic (PPKN), Religion, and Indonesian language are taught. For foreign nationals, Indonesian Language and Indonesian Studies are taught. Celebrations of different religious festivals are part of yearly programming.

The Independent School Batam (ISB) is a non-profit international school on Batam Island, Indonesia. It offers a staged curriculum from Early Years to Secondary: Early Years (Pre-School, R1, R2), Primary (KS1, KS2), and Secondary (KS3, KS4).
